SALEM -Rickey D. Gibson, 50, of Salem, died at 10:08 p.m. Saturday at his residence.

He was born on March 14, 1959 in Youngstown,the son of Edward Lee Gibson and the late Cheryl Ann (Soulier) Gibson.

Mr. Gibson has been a resident of Salem for two years, coming from Bristolville, and in Oklahoma. He was a landscaper in the area, and served in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his father of Southington; step-mother Tina Gibson; four sisters, Melissa Leeworthy of Oklahoma, Vera Dotson of Ohio, Heidi Newson of Ohio, Kristina Kolat of Ohio; three brothers, Andrew Gibson of Salem, Bernard Kolat of Ohio, and Edward Gibson Jr. of Westfield, N.C.

Services were held at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with full military honors by the U.S. Navy.
