YOUNGSTOWN-The Youngstown Diocesan Council of Catholic Women will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 21 at St. Christine's Catholic Church Hall, 3165 S. Schenley Ave. A light breakfast and light lunch will be provided by the Hospitality Ministry of St. Christine's. There is no charge to attend, but reservations are required and may be made by calling 330-834-0354 before Nov. 7. The morning program features The Christmas Billboard Ladies, three of which are members of St. Christine's Parish.
St. Jude Women's Guild announces craft show

COLUMBIANA-St. Jude Women's Guild is sponsoring its annual craft show from 10 a.m to 4 p.m Nov. 21 at St. Jude Activity Center, 180 Seventh St. Handcrafted and homemade items will be featured along with a Chinese auction, bake sale, prize raffle and lunch counter. Admission and parking are free.
Roast beef dinner
GREENFORD-The Greenford Lutheran Church will hold its annual roast beef dinner on Nov. 14. Seatings are at 4 and 5:30 p.m. Hosting the dinner are the men of GLC serving roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, applesauce, rolls, beverage and cake. Cost is$7 for adults and $4 for children ages 3 to 11. There will be a raffle for a queen-size quilt made by the ladies of the church. For ticket and seating reservations call the church office at 330-533-5324. The church is located at 7450 W. South Range Road.
Christmas Child
NEW WATERFORD Abundant Life Fellowship at 46469 state Route 46 is a designated drop-off location for churches, groups and individuals participating in a global outreach project for children. Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan's Purse, an international ministry affiliated with evangelists Billy and Franklin Graham.
People are asked to fill shoeboxes with gifts for age- and gender-specific children. The gifts can be toys, school supplies, hygiene items, small clothing items, etc.Vivian Carvender of Columbiana, relay center coordinator at Abundant Life, has been involved in the project since 1995. All boxes dropped off at the church will be loaded onto a tractor-trailer, hauled to Warren and transported directly to the Samaritan Purse headquarters in North Carolina for distribution to children in the states and overseas.
National collection week for Operation Christmas Child is Nov. 16-22. Boxes will be accepted at Abundant Life from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 16, 17, 19; 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Nov. 18;10 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-7 p.m. Nov. 20; 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 21; and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Nov. 22
Carvender, who is assisted in the project by Margaret Kandel of Lisbon, is encouraging churches, community groups and individuals who have never participated to get involved this year, when she anticipates even greater needs. Pork chop dinner set
WINONA-The Winona Friends Church on Whinnery Road will serve a baked pork chop dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. today in the Family Life Center. The public is invited and carryouts will be available. Cost is $8. Proceeds from the dinner will go to the Family Life Center. For information call 330-222-1551.
Swiss steak dinner planned
SEBRING-St. Ann Church at 323 S. 15th St. will hold its annual Swiss steak dinner from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The menu includes Swiss steak and gravy, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, applesauce, rolls, dessert and beverages. Jubileers to meet today
COLUMBIANA-The Jubileers of the First Presbyterian Church will meet at 4:30 today at Southern Park Terrace. There will be a "white elephant" exchange and dinner will be provided. "Operation Christmas Child" boxes are due by Nov. 18. The Christmas cantata practice begins at 6.30 p.m. every Tuesday.
Revival services planned

Cookie walk scheduled
WINONA-The Hazel Circle of the Winona United Methodist Church is hosting its annual cookie walk and craft sale from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 5 at the church, 32114 Winona Road. A variety of homemade cookies will be sold at $3 per dozen.
Black Friday babysitting
SALINEVILLE-C.S.I. Salineville Church of Christ will provide babysitting services from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Black Friday shoppers by adult church members and C.S.I. Youth Group members at the church, 55 W. Main St. Cost is $3 per hour or $25 per day for up to two siblings (additional siblings at additional cost). Snacks and meals are provided. There will be videos on the big screen, crafts, games and storytime. Preregister your child by calling 330-832-5095 before Nov. 20.
Soup/sandwich fund raiser
COLUMBIANA-The Jerusalem Lutheran Church Preschool, an outreach ministry of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St., is holding a soup/sandwich lunch fund raiser on Nov. 15. Carryout will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and sit down meals from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thrivent Chapter 30766 will be matching funds. The money raised will be used to help with the preschool's heating bills. For further information or to order carryout call 330-831-3512. Lunch will be egg salad and barbecue chipped ham sandwiches, vegetable and tomato soup, chips, crackers, cookies and beverages.
Christmas Bible study
NORTH LIMA- "Christmas: The Real Story" Bible study will be presented from 6:30 to 8 a.m., 10 a.m. to noon and 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 25 and Dec. 23 at Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St. Facilitators are the Rev. DAMASCUS-An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m. Nov. 21 at the Damascus United Methodist Church. Proceeds will go to the youth director's fund.

NEW WATERFORD-A pancake breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. Nov. 14 at the New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St. Area veterans will be honored at this event. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go to the building fund.
