St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Akron was the site of the summer wedding of Molly Anne McGuire and Andrew Ryan Palmer.

The bride is the daughter of Timothy and Rhonda McGuire, 217 Westwood Ave., Orrville. The bridegroom's parents are Charles and Debra Palmer, 120 W. 16th St., Salem.

Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride's one-piece, strapless, full a-line gown featured lace-up closures, a silhouette in bordeaux taffeta with cascading bustles draped asymmetrically over an embellished lace skirt. Beaded lace accented the gentle sweetheart neckline and surrounded the signature lace-up back. Handmade flowers were nestled within the bustles of the skirt, with Swarovski crystals, pearls, seed beads, bugle beads, glass beads and sequins. Her diamond white one-tier veil was enhanced with intricate bead work scrolled along the edge. She carried a bouquet with a slight cascade look with white roses, stephanotis and orchids.

Members of the bridal party were Ashley Griffitts, maid of honor; Kristin McGuire, the bride's sister-in-law, matron of honor; and bridesmaids, Annaliese Soden; Stephanie McGuire, the bride's sister-in-law; Jo Elizabeth Householder; Courtney DeWood; Alissa Garretson; and Jennifer Palmer, the bridegroom's sister.

Matthew Ciotti was the best man. Ushers included Cory Palmer, bridegroom's brother; Joseph Ayers; Andrew DeHaven; Keith Keschl; Richard Gorski; and Jonathan McGuire and Matthew McGuire, the bride's brothers.

Bridesmaids were attired in classic silhouettes in black tissue taffeta with a strapless, dropped waist ruched bodice and twisted back detail culminating in a slight back train. The attendants carried nosegays with roses in light pink and hot pink with light pink satin wrap.

Approximately 200 guests attended the reception at Galaxy in Wadsworth. Guests were registered by Kristy Ophals. The couple's special guest was "Zippy," the University of Akron mascot.
