Raymond I. Annabell

WARREN-Raymond I. "Papa" Annabell, 77, of Warren, died Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

He was born Sept. 15, 1932, in Monroe, Mich., a son of the late Ralph E. Annabell and the late Margorie Mae Wilson Annabell.

Ray was a graduate of Lordstown High School and was employed as a tow motor operator at Packard Electric for 45 years, retiring in 1995. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the Navy.

Papa Ray was devoted to his family and spent time enjoying his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are his daughters, Cynthia (John) Thomas of Cortland, Ohio, and Jodi (Ken) Buckley of Fort Myers, Fla.; a stepdaughter, Marlene (Les) Helsey of Champion, Ohio; son, Timothy (Susan) Annabell of Salem, Ohio; a stepson, Michael Perkins of Waterbury, Conn.; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Fiocca of Akron, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Helen Qualls and a brother, Carl Annabell.

Services will be held at the Carl W. Hall Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, 2009, where Pastor Brian Main will officiate.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Interment will be at Pineview Memorial Park.

The family requests that material contributions be made to the St. Jude's Childrens Research Foundation, 1335 Dublin Road, Columbus, Ohio 43215, in his memory.
