District teams announced in v-ball, soccer

The District One Volleyball All-Star selections were released Monday with many local players receiving recognition.
In Div. II, Beaver?Local’s Michela Nicholson was named to the first team.
East Liverpool’s Kelly Kiger and Beaver Local’s Lexi Steele were named to the second team.
In Div. III, East?Palestine’s Emily Sansenbaugher and Lisbon’s Mindy Jackson received first team honors.
East Palestine’s Kali George was named to the second team, while teammate Emily Stewart was given honorable mention along with Lisbon’s Abbey Brammer.
In Div. IV, Wellsville’s Sarah Drysdale was named to the first team along with Southern’s Carly Warnock.
Making the second team were Wellsville’s Noelle Amato and Southern’s Brittany Madison.
Wellsville’s McKenna Pierson and Southern’s Maddy Dowling received honorable mention.
Those selected to the Senior Classic to take place Nov. 15 are Beaver Local’s Nicholson, Southern’s Warnock, Lisbon’s Jackson, East?Palestine’s Sansenbaugher and George, Wellsville’s Drysdale and East?Liverpool’s Katie Kiger.
Soccer
East Liverpool’s Joe Zirillo and Edison’s James Mullins were both selected to the Eastern District Scholastic Soccer Coaches Association second team.
Edison’s Chris Haught, Shane Stacey and Andrew Snsone were given honorable mention.
For the girls, Edison’s Carissa Myler was named to the second team, while teammates Marta Fiala and Nhung Tran were given honorable mention.
Edison’s Mullins, Haught, Fiala and Kayla Brown were selected to take part in the All-Star game.
