1944 will meet

LEETONIA-The Leetonia High School Class of 1944 will meet for lunch at noon Wednesday at Heck's Restaurant in Columbiana.

Salem Bird Study

Club meets Thursday

SALEM-The Salem Bird Study Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church.

Benefit Association

presenting officers

SALEM-The Loyal Christian Benefit Association Branch 654 will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in St. Paul School gym. Officers from the National LCBA Headquarters in Erie will be present.

All members are urged to attend and reminded that the "Heartbeat" catalog orders are due.

United yearbooks

now available

HANOVERTON-The United All-Class Reunion yearbooks have arrived and are available for pickup. Yearbooks may be picked up at United High School from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Additional copies of the 100-page yearbook are available for sale at $65 each. Quantities are limited and will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

meeting for breakfast

SALEM-Members of the Salem High School Class of 1972 plan to meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Skyline Diner.

The?Jubileers will

meet Saturday

COLUMBIANA-The Jubileers (First Presbyterian Church) will meet at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Southern Park Terrace.

There will be a "white elephant" exchange and dinner will be provided. "Operation Christmas Child" boxes are due by Nov. 18. The Christmas cantata practice begins at 6.30 p.m. every Tuesday.

Dinner scheduled at

the Bayard Grange

MINERVA-Creamed chicken and biscuits or noodles will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 8 at Bayard Grange.

Dinner includes green beans, a choice of homemade cole slaw or applesauce, homemade desserts (featuring apple dumplings and pumpkin roll) and hot or cold beverage.

Carryout is available. Cost is $7.50 for a large size and $4 for small. The grange is located on U.S. Route 30 on the east side of Minerva just past the junction of Route 183. For more information call 330-894-2902.

Banquet of Salem

will serve on Monday

SALEM-The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building. The Greenford Lutheran Church will sponsor the meal and provide the volunteers. The menu offers sloppy joes, chicken noodle soup, cheesy potatoes, vegetables, fruits, and desserts. New sponsors and financial gifts are needed for the Banquet. COLUMBIANA-The students of Columbiana High School and South Side Middle School are inviting all district veterans to a Veteran's Day program at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 11 in the high school gym. Veterans are asked to register by calling the school at 330-482-5354 Ext. 34525 before Nov. 6.

HANOVERTON-United Local students will honor veterans in a special event at 9 a.m. Nov. 11 in the high school auditorium. All area veterans are invited.

GUILFORD LAKE-The Scheryl McDevitt's Friends Relay for Life team will have a bake sale during the Guilford Lake Ruritan Club fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 13.

Joe LIppiatt benefit

BELOIT-The Joe Lippiatt benefit will be held on Nov. 14 at Lake Placentia Hall, 3300 Westville Lake Road.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with a beef and pork dinner at 6 p.m., an auction at 7 p.m. and music from 8 to 11 p.m. provided by Muffy and The Divers.

Greenford Lutheran

GREENFORD-The community is invited to a roast beef dinner Nov. 14 at Greenford Lutheran Church, 7450 W. South Range Road (Route165). The men of the church will host the meal of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, cole slaw, applesauce, beverage and cake.

Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 3 to 11.

The first seating begins at 4 p.m. followed by the second seating at 5:30 p.m. Raffle tickets may be purchased for a queen-size quilt, made by the ladies of the church. For tickets call 330-533-5324.

Humane Society

presenting program

SALEM-Jan Palmer and Heather Jurina of the Humane Society of Columbiana County will present an informative program from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Quaker Room of Salem Public Library.

Topics will include how to choose a pet, good places to get a pet, and how to properly care for a pet. This program is open to the public and free of charge.
