LISBON - In county Municipal Court on Monday, a Salem Wal-Mart cashier appeared for a felony charge of theft.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 10 for Deborah Shellenberger, 47, Goshen Road, Salem, on the charge. Bond was set at $5,000. Shellenberger is accused of taking more than $800 from a cash register at the Salem Wal-Mart.
Marcus Gutierrez, 30, Depot Road, Salem, pleaded not guilty to OVI second offense, driving under suspension, failure to control, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia; pretrial Dec. 21.
A probation violation hearing was scheduled for April 29 for Michael Hicks, 34, state Route 213, Irondale, on charges of OVI second offense and failure to control.
Donald Wilson, Merling Road, Kensington, was sentenced to 10 days in the county jail, was fined $875 and had his driver's license suspended for one year for OVI first offense and left of center.
Samuel Camp, 45, state Route 45, Leetonia, was sentenced to three days of traffic school and was fined $350 for reckless operation, amended from OVI first offense; a stop sign violation and a seat belt violation.
James Lippiatt, 20, West State Street, Salem, pleaded not guilty to assault, pretrial Jan. 14. Lippiatt is accused of punching a corrections officer at the county jail in the face.
Joshua Middleton, 26, Jones Drive, Salem, pleaded not guilty to assault; pretrial Dec. 21. Middleton is accused of hitting a man in the face several times outside Spanky's Bar, Salem.
Jessica Custer, 28, Steubenville Pike, was sentenced to 19 days in the county jail and was fined $100 for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal damaging; restitution hearing Dec. 10. Custer took a woman's vehicle without permission and, while being transported to the county jail, kicked a cruiser door and struck it with her head.
Dennis Hecker, 29, Girard, pleaded not guilty to failure to comply, drug paraphernalia and railroad vandalism; pretrial Dec. 22. Hecker is accused of driving an all-terrain vehicle on railroad tracks and fleeing police.
Jade Eichler, 19, East Taggart Street, East Palestine, pleaded not guilty to domestic violence; pretrial Nov. 10. Eichler is accused of striking and scratching her brother.
Mildred Pittman, 46, Lexington Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for theft. Pittman stole DVDs and a wallet from the Salem Giant Eagle.
Takeisha Jackson, 41, Oak Street, Salem, was fined $50 for theft. Jackson stole a key strap from the Salem Giant Eagle.
Robert Hays, 19, Sherman Street, pleaded guilty to theft; sentencing Dec. 14. Hays stole a container of brake fluid from the Lisbon Circle K.
Roger Brown, 53, South Lincoln Avenue, pleaded not guilty to theft; pretrial Dec. 14. Brown is accused of stealing three sterilization pouches and a scissors pouch from Lisbon Dental Clinic by concealing them in his sock.
James Moore, 20, Cedar Alley, Wellsville, pleaded not guilty to theft; pretrial Nov. 9. Moore is accused of removing items from a vehicle in Lisbon.
Joshua Bable, 29, Front Street, Negley, pleaded not guilty to theft; pretrial Nov. 16.
Adam Ciapala, 35, Youngstown, pleaded not guilty to driving under suspension and a seat belt violation; pretrial Dec. 15.
Ashley Painter, 26, Fernanoina Beach, Fla., was fined $150 for driving without a valid license, amended from driving under suspension, and failure to display valid sticker.
Rebecca Rudibaugh, 25, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for driving without a valid license, amended from failure to reinstate license.
Richard Wright, 23, Warren, pleaded not guilty to possession of drugs and two counts of drug paraphernalia; pretrial Dec. 21.
Derek Calvin, 19, Canfield, pleaded not guilty to underage consumption and drug paraphernalia; pretrial Dec. 21.
Daniel Boots, 35, Richardson Avenue, New Waterford, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct, amended from domestic violence.
Adam Rose, 29, Main Street, Minerva, was fined $100 for disorderly conduct while voluntarily intoxicated.
Amanda Stewart, 25, Madison Drive, East Liverpool, was fined $20 for failure to yield.
Lisa Wright, 27, Hatcher Road, New Waterford, was assessed costs only for passing bad checks.
