ALLIANCE - A traffic accident Monday evening resulted in one death and one injury, but details were sparse Monday night. A dispatcher for the Ohio State Highway Patrol in Lisbon confirmed the death and the injury but said he could not comment on the identity of either person at the time.

The crash occurred around 7:10 p.m. on Oyster Road just north of U.S. Route 62 in Smith Township. The dispatcher said there was at least one vehicle involved in the accident but could not confirm whether more than one vehicle was involved. He could not comment on the events leading up to the crash Monday night.

A medical helicopter was called to the area shortly after the collision. The Sebring Fire Department sent a crew to the scene to assist the Highway Patrol.
