Super Sunday Bingo scheduled

COLUMBIANA-Super Bingo Sunday begins at 2 p.m. Sunday at St. Jude Parish, 180 Seventh St. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. A $25 donation entitles players to all cards for all games, a free dauber, coffee and pop. Specials are sold separately. There is a lunch counter, bake sale, and "goodies" sale.

United Methodist hosting 'Trunk or Treat'

COLUMBIANA-The East Fairfield United Methodist Church will host "Trunk or Treat" festivities at 6 p.m. today in the parking lot, 45675 Route 558. Weather permitting, there will also be a bonfire with hot dogs, chips, marshmallows and cocoa, and games. Contests for the evening include the Best-of-Show vehicle, and adult and student costume contests. In case of inclement weather all events will be held in the church basement. Beloit Friends celebrating Vets and Heroes

BELOIT-Beloit Friends will be celebrating Veterans and Heroes Day during the morning worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. During this time, veterans and public servants (police, firefighters, EMS, local councilman, school board members, etc) will be recognized. A love offering will be taken for the Daniel McVicker Scholarship Fund (in memory of and/or in honor of veterans and heroes, past and present, from the community. This year's special guests are Mike Lawson Sr., USMC veteran of the first Gulf War, Civil War enthusiast and Stonewall Jackson presenter; and Spc. William "Joe" Conway, US Army National Guard who just returned from a year of service with the MFO in the Sinai Peninsula. A carry-in luncheon will be provided by the congregation.

Free community meal will be served Nov. 4

LEETONIA-A free community meal will be served at 6 p.m. Nov. 4 at Leetonia Mennonite Church. A program of music follows at 7 p.m.

'Family Craft Time' scheduled Nov. 8

SALEM-A "Family Craft Time" begins at 11:45 a.m. Nov. 8 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church. There is no cost for this event, however, for $1 participants may complete a special craft with a guest from Creative Memories. Registration is not required but is appreciated. A prize will be raffled off and refreshments served. For details call Angela McCoy at 330-332-5042 Ext. 103.

Spaghetti dinner fund raiser is Nov.15

LISBON- St. George and St. Agatha churches are hosting a spaghetti dinner fund raiser from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 15 at St. George Hall in Lisbon. The meal includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children, 10 and under. Carryouts are available. In-Church Revival set at Zion Hill Church

COLUMBIANA-An In-Church Revival will be held at Zion Hill Church of the Brethren, 14550 New Buffalo Road. It is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Nov. 15, and at 7 p.m. Nov. 16, 17 and 18 and culminate with a full communion service at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 19.

Winona Friends hosting basketball league

WINONA-A Youth Basketball League at the Winona Friends Church will begin in December with co-ed leagues for grades kindergarten to first; second to third; and fourth to sixth. Cost is $25 per child or $65 per family. Registration packets are available at the WFC office or on its website at www.winonafriends.com. Jesus the Key Ministry announces trips

LEETONIA-Jesus the Key Ministry is announcing the following bus trips.

Dec. 8-9: Lancaster, Pa., American Music Theatre, concert, Dutch Apple Dinner Theatre, "Jolly Jolly Christmas" and Millenium Theatre, "Miracle of Christmas," $229.

Passion Play included in Highlights Tour

SALEM-"Son"shine Tours Inc., a company that specializes in group tours, is including the Passion Play in a German Highlights Tour departing Aug. 24, 2010. Two nights in Oberammergau, Germany, will be one of the many highlights of the trip. From May 15 to Oct. 3, 2010, over 2,000 local people from the village of Oberammergau, 60 miles southwest of Munich, will perform the world-famous Passion Play more than 100 times. The play's history dates back to 1633, and the traditions have been maintained for 376 years. The Passion Play takes place there every 10 years and brings the story of Jesus of Nazareth to the eyes and ears of the audience in a five-hour production on an open-air stage.
