Talitha Faye Barnes
NEW MIDDLETOWN-After 10 years of living with the effects of congestive heart failure, Talitha Faye Barnes died at home surrounded with the love of family and friends, on Oct. 4, 2009. Faith in God and love of family and friends were the mainstays of her life.
She was born on Aug. 11, 1925, to C.V. Miller and Lottie Mae Hall, in North Jackson, Ohio, and graduated from Waterford High School in 1943. She married Harry Barnes in January of 1944, and they lived most of their married life in Enon Valley.
She was a long-time member of the Bethel U.P. Church. Of her many occupations, she is most remembered for driving school bus for Mohawk District. She was a copious reader and loved to travel, especially since her children where spread across the country. She was a very giving,loving person to all she met.
Faye is survived by one brother, Glenn Miller and his wife Bobbi; sister Nancy McKinley and her husband Weldon; sister-in-law, Theda Miller and many nieces and nephews. Her six children, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren all dearly love her and miss her with all their hearts. Linda and Jack Zembower of Enon Valley; Sally and Randy Anderson of New York; Larry Barnes of Colorado; Edward Barnes of Petersburg; Shirley Flack of New Middletown; and Jayne Reddinger of Michigan. Grandchildren, Jaci and George Trosky and sons, Joey, Randy, Conner and Jack; Casi and Bob Ponziani and children, Caitlin and Jake; Max and Hillary Zembower and son Drake; Ben Zembower; John Schwartz and Jen Metzger and sons, Gideon, Silas and Jasper; Molly Schwartz and Eric Eble; Jackie Anderson; Patrick and Donavan Barnes;Andrew & Tara Barnes; Lacie and Scott Harman; Samantha Barnes and son, Jeremy; Aaron Ackerman; Cindy Flack and sons Caleb and Luca McClean; Matthew Walker, Thomas and Cody Reddinger.
She was preceded by her former husband, Harry Barnes; six of her nine siblings, Esther Hivley,Wanda Milliken, Ethel Moore, Butch Miller, Edith Miller, Jane Bentfield and great-grandson, Jonothan Trosky Fayes.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 24, at Bethel U.P.Church, 154 Pertersburg Road in Enon Valley (724-667-8031). The gathering of family and friends will be at 10 a.m.,with the service beginning at 11 a.m. Flowers are welcome and will be handled by Terry Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak St. Bessemer, Pa.; or donations to Hospice of the Valley, at 5190 Market St., Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
