Frances J. Pregibon
SALEM - Frances Jenny Pregibon, age 82, of 1357 Fairview Avenue, Salem, died at 5:55 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Salem Community Hospital.
She was born May 21, 1927 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Emmerich and Anna (Korenic) Burnett.
Mrs. Pregibon was a cook for Lisbon High School. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, the Legion of Mary and attended Youngstown East High School. Frances was a great cook, enjoyed baking, crochet and going out to eat.
Her husband, George Nicholas Pregibon Sr., whom she married June 5, 1948, preceded her in death on October 13, 2000.
Survivors include a son, George Nicholas Pregibon Jr. of Salem; a daughter, Nancy (Wayne) Kenmuir of Lisbon; a brother, Al Burnett of Williamsfield, Ohio; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and her pal dog, "Misty."
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Colleen Ann Douglas in 1966; three brothers, John, Charles and Elmer Burnett; and a sister, Mary Markovich.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Thomas Eisweirth officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Stark Memorial. A prayer service will be held at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
