SEBRING -Gregory D. Smith, 40, of Sebring, Ohio, died Monday afternoon at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren.

He was born Sept. 20, 1969 in Salem. He was a son of Roger D. Smith of Damascus and Nancy (Moore) Smith of Sebring.

He was last employed at the Fairhaven Workshop. He was a member of the Salem First Friends Church.

He is survived by maternal grandfather William Moore; sisters Tami (Brian) Pirone of Poland, Lisa Barnhouse of Myrtle Beach and Laurie (Daerell) Williams of Sebring; and a brother, Chad (Sasha) Smith of Damascus.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Irene Moore, paternal grandmother Arlene Gorby and paternal grandfather Lester Smith, maternal great grandparents Boyd and Sara Moore and paternal great grandmother Ruth McKee.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Salem First Friends Church with Pastor John Pierce and Pastor Don Herr officiating. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Beloit, Ohio.

Donations may be made to the church building fund or someone can send a balloon arrangement.

Arrangements and services were handled by Arbaugh-Pearce Greenisen Funeral Home of Salem.

The family would like to express their thoughts of thanks to the staff and administration of Orange Village Care Center for the loving care extended to Gregory.
