SALEM-Mary L. (Jakubisn) Darin, 71, of 1665 Van Buren Blvd., Salem, died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday at her home.

She was born Aug. 22, 1938, in West Pike, Pa., daughter of the late Frank A. and Sarah E. (Coking) Hartley.

Mary last worked at the Laurel Court Apartments as a manager for several years.

Her husband George A. Jakubisn Sr., preceded in death on April 16, 1990, they were married on June 4, 1955.

Survivors include her companion Vianor D. "Barney" Darin; a daughter, Debra A. Ramsey and husband Ronald of Salem; a son, George A. Jakubisn Jr. and wife Melissa of Salem; three grandchildren, Julia Lopac, Aaron Jakubisn and Takoda Jakubisn: and two great-grandchildren, Riley and Brandon Lopac; three stepsons, Christopher Darin of Canada, Greg Darin and Jeff Darin, both of Salem; two brothers, Thomas Hartley of California Pa., James Hartley of Daisytown, Pa.; four sisters, Christine Armstrong of Washington, Pa., Frances Volcheck and Shirley Harris, both of California, Pa., and Ethel Brodak of Fellsmere, Fla.

Mary was also preceded in death by an infant son; brothers, Allen, Fred, Charles and Robert Hartley; and a sister, Martha Chisler.

Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home.

A private family interment will be held at the Hope Cemetery.
