Ruth A. Tyger
EAST PALESTINE - Ruth A. Tyger, 89, of East Palestine, died at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center, where she had been a patient for the past month.
She was born Jan. 27, 1920, in East Palestine, a daughter of the late John and Jane Theresa Dailey Jones, and had resided in the area for most of her life. She had been employed in the accounting department with the former Kenmar Division of Ethan Allen for over 25 years.
Her husband, Royden N. Tyger, whom she married Feb. 16, 1946, preceded her in death July 16, 1982.
She is survived by three children, James A. (Mary Anne) Tyger and William F. (Wendy) Tyger, both of East Palestine, and Ann (John) Kuzma, Mankato, Minn. She also leaves six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10a.m. Monday,at Our Lady of Lourdes Church with the Rev. Daniel Cipar serving as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, where a vigil service will be conducted at 6:45 p.m.
