Rummage sale set

SALEM- The public is invited to a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Salvation Army, 1249 N. Ellsworth Ave. Clothing will be sold at $3 per bag. This sale is sponsored by the Ladies Home League.

Strawberry Festival

LEETONIA- The Leetonia/Washingtonville Area Chamber of Commerce Revitalization Committee is hosting a Strawberry Festival from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday on Main Street downtown. The festival includes a breakfast at 9 a.m., as well as lunch and dinner, featuring strawberries at British Pastries; a flea market; a bike decorating contest; and entertainment throughout the day, featuring Loren Coler, Niki Slaven and Ty Stouffer singing cast from "Annie Get Your Gun" and Little Joe. Historical Society meets

COLUMBIANA-The Historical Society Columbiana and Fairfield Township Log Cabin Museum on the square in Columbiana will be open from 2 to 4 p.m.. Saturday and Sunday.

Salem Library board

SALEM-The Salem Public Library board of trustees will meet at 4:30 p.m. Monday at the library.

Goshen 1941 breakfast

SALEM-The Goshen High School Class of 1941 will meet for breakfast 9 a.m. June 16 at Carol's Country Cafe.

Salem 1943 breakfast

SALEM-The Salem High School Class of 1943 will meet for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. June 16 at Adele's Place.

Lepper Library program

LISBON-Jocko the Clown will present the first program for the Lepper Library Summer Reading Club at 11 a.m. June 16. Jocko has delighted kids and parents alike for the past several years with his great sense of humor, skillful juggling, magic tricks, and amazing balloon creations. Students going into kindergarten through eighth grade are encouraged to register to participate in any or all of the free Tuesday and Wednesday programs. At the end of the six weeks there will be a free pool party for all students and their families.

Survivors of Suicide

LISBON-The Help Hotline Crisis Center's support group of the Survivors of Suicide will meet from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. June 18 at the Columbiana County Counseling Center on Route 154.

Photos on display

COLUMBIANA- Roberta's Gallery of Fine Arts on the Square will present a special showing of photograph art by area native Sarah Blocksom with a "Meet the Artist" wine and cheese reception from 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, June 19. Musical accompaniment will be provided by "Reiki Sue" Deutschlander. The show will continue from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 20 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. June 23-25. For information call 330-482-4522.

EL garage sale

EAST LIVERPOOL-Catholic Charities Senior Center at 600 E. Fourth St. will hold a garage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 19 and 20. Items for sale include household items, furniture, pottery, children's items, toys, etc. Funds raised will be used to support the programs and services offered by the center. Baked goods also will be available for purchase. Donations for the rummage sale will be accepted until June 16. Clothing is not needed. For more information call 330-385-4732.

Golf scramble planned

COLUMBIANA- The Leetonia Ruritan Club is sponsoring the Mike Grunick Memorial Scholarship Scramble Saturday, June 20, at the Valley Golf Club in Columbiana. Tee times for the four-person, nine-hole golf scramble will start at 1 p.m. Cost is $30 per person and includes green fees, BBQ chicken dinner, beverages and one riding cart, and features a hole-in-one contest for $10,000 cash compliments of Holloway Insurance. Quakertown Super Kids

SALEM-Quakertown Super Kids race is finalizing details for the upcoming race on June 27. The race kicks off at 9 a.m. beginning in front of city hall on South Broadway Avenue. Racers who have not turned in their registration forms are reminded that all paperwork must be in by June 19. Any sponsors who have not paid their fee should turn it in immediately. Strawberry festival

LISBON- Homemade ice cream will be featured during the strawberry festival from 4:30 to 7 p.m. June 27 at the Lisbon Grange. Hot sandwiches, potato salad, baked beans, cake and beverages will also be available. The grange is located on U.S. Route 30, three miles west of Lisbon.

Leetonia Library program

LEETONIA-The Leetonia Public Library will hold its summer reading program from 1 to 2 p.m. each Tuesday from June 9 to July 28. This year's theme is "Be Creative at Your Library." Each week features a performer and fun crafts and prizes. For information call 330-427-6635 or stop in.

EP reading program

EAST PALESTINE-The East Palestine Memorial Public Library Summer Reading Program will continue through Aug. 3. People of all ages are invited to participate in the program titled, "Be Creative at the Library." Registration will be accepted from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. throughout the program. The program finale will feature a concert by musician Chip Richter.
