Mr. and Mrs. Lee Barnes of Salem marked their 50th anniversary this year. The former Joyce Harmon and Mr. Barnes were married on June 4, 1959, at the Berlin Center Methodist Church. There were the third generation of four in her family to choose the June 4 wedding date.
The couple's children are Lori (Robert) Koher, Susan (Timothy) Hull and Scott (Kim) Barnes, all of Salem, and Lisa (Jerry) Finney of Canfield. The couple's grandchildren are Joshua (Amy), Clayton, Sierra, Brandon and Cheyene.
Mr. Barnes is a retired carpenter.
A family dinner is being planned to celebrate the occasion.
