Pearl Dunham

Darlington, PA - Mrs. Pearl Dunham, 91, formerly of Valley Road, died at 4:40 p.m. Friday at the Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls, where she had resided.

Mrs. Dunham was born Jan. 10, 1918 in Darlington Township, a daughter of the late Clark I. and Agnes K. Tyson McCowin, and was a lifetime resident of the area.

She had attended the Enon Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Enon Valley AARP.

Her husband, John H. Dunham, Jr., whom she married Sept. 25, 1937, preceded her in death on Dec. 23, 1997. Three brothers, Everett, Paul, and Ralph McCowin, as well as two sisters, Olive Durk and Edith Spooner, and a infant daughter, Carolyn, preceded her as well.

She is survived by four daughters and three sons; Virginia Fawcett, East Palestine; Grace Ferguson, Darlington; Kay Hughes, Glen Rock, PA; and Betty Taylor, Albion, PA; John H. Dunham, III, Tavares, FL; Paul C. Dunham, Darlington; and Dennis G. Dunham, Cumming, GA.

She also leaves three sisters, Frances Young and Shirley Mellinger, both of Columbiana; and Luella Brunner, Leesburg, FL;16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with Rev. Richard Baker, of her church officiating at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, East Palestine where the family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Monday. Burial will follow in Wilson Cemetery, Darlington.
