Kelly and Barbara Smith of Lisbon celebrated 55 years of marriage at a celebration open house in their home, given by their children, on March 28.
The former Barbara McGraw and Mr. Smith were married on March 28, 1954, at the Nazarene Church in East Liverpool. The Rev. L. D. Morgan officiated. Their wedding attendants were Bill McGraw and Beverly Beebout.
Mr. Smith worked at American Verified for 21 years until the company closed. He then was employed for 21 years at Hall China Co., retiring in 1996.
Mrs. Smith is a homemaker and a member of the Lisbon Assembly of God.
The Smiths have five children, Mrs. Fred (Sharon) Robinson, Mrs. Dan (Pam) Heath, Mrs. Randy (Sandy) Wright, Randy (Michelle) Smith and Mary Smith. Their son, Kelly Smith Jr., is deceased.
The couple also has eight grandchildren, one of which is deceased; eight great-grandchildren; and one deceased great-granddaughter.
