Trespassing
At 9:46 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of Hickory Lane where a complainant reported a tree service was trimming limbs from a tree on the property. The officers spoke with the tree service employees who advised they had been contracted to trim the trees by a resident to the west of the complainant. Officers observed property stacks at the rear of the residence but not in the front and both the complainant and the tree service agreed to no more trimming until a proper survey is conducted.
Failure to yield
At 3:18 p.m. Wednesday, Ruth C. Mountz-Bettis, 31, 23422 Georgetown Road, Homeworth, was cited for failure to yield following a two-vehicle crash on state Route 14 in which she attempted to turn right off of Elm Avenue and pulled into the path of a vehicle driven by Angela A. Mason, 30, of 27995 Winona Road, Salem.
Reckless operator
At 4:36 p.m. Wednesday, an officer responded to a location in the 2000 block of East State Street in reference to a report of reckless operation in which the complainant claimed a female subject in a small red car cut him off in traffic and provided the license plate number of the vehicle. The officer contacted the subject who offered a differing statement of the situation, and advised both drivers to exercise greater caution in the future.
Breaking and entering
At 10:03 p.m. Wednesday, a complainant from the 600 block of Columbia Street reported that a male subject approximately 5 1/2 feet tall with a dark complexion entered his vehicle and removed the stereo from the dash before fleeing west. Officers searched the surrounding area, but did not locate the subject.
PERRY TOWNSHIP
No reinstatement fee
At 2:02 p.m. Tuesday, Steven J. McVay, 28, of 11489 Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, was arrested for failure to pay a license reinstatement fee following a traffic stop for a cracked windshield.
Unruly child
At 8:02 a.m. Wednesday, an officer responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Ansley Way in reference to a domestic dispute report in which a juvenile refused to awake for school. Upon arrival the officer found the juvenile getting ready and that no domestic violence had occurred.
Driving under suspension
At 9:48 a.m. Wednesday, Craig A. Mason, 26, of 1461 Wilson Ave., Atwater, was arrested for driving under suspension following a traffic stop for no front license plate.
