Mr. and Mrs. Gary Hiner of 233 W. Maple St., Lisbon, celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at a private reception on Feb. 15. The event was hosted by their children, Mrs. Mike (Melanie) Chidester and Mrs. Rueben (Melissa) Dowd of Lisbon, and Matt Hiner of Granite Falls, N.C.
The former Rose Marie Tafini and Mr. Hiner were married on Feb. 15, 1969, by Father Stewart J. Platt at St. George Catholic Church in Lisbon.
Mr. Hiner owns Hiner Roofing in Lisbon. He is the son of George (deceased) and Jennie Hiner.
Mrs. Hiner is employed in the Columbiana County Clerk of Courts in Lisbon. She is the daughter of the late Robert and Ambrosine Tafini.
The Hiners also have seven grandchildren.
