Jacqueline M. Beabout became the bride of Sgt. John T. Fennema on Aug. 25 in Jacksonville, North Carolina, witnessed by Sarah Fennema, the bridegroom's sister; Haley Gaither, the bridegroom's niece; Damian Rizer, the bride's son; and Braydon Fennema, the couple's son.
A formal, double-ring ceremony for family and friends was held at the First Presbyterian Church in Salem, with the Rev. Meta Cramer officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Rick Beabout of East Palestine and Charlene and Charles Powell of Lisbon.
The bridegroom's parents are Paul and Barbara Fennema of Salem.
The bride was escorted and given in marriage by her son, Damian Rizer. She appeared in a white, crinkled taffeta gown with niching at the waist, small beading along the neckline, and a full skirt. She also wore a tiara and a necklace of pearls and carried a satin-trimmed bouquet of red roses and baby's breath.
Allyssa Entrikin served as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Amber Beabout, the bride's sister; and Jennifer Smith and Christy Temple. Flower girls were Haley Gaither and Jaidynn Entrikin.
Paul Fennema, the bridegroom's father, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason
Fennema and Daniel Fennema, the bridegroom's brothers, and Christopher Lanave.
Organ music was provided by Nancy McNeal. Soloist was Jayne Bricker.
A reception followed in the Pearce Room at the Salem Community Center, served by Judy Gaither and Jody Groom.
A special Boston Celtic's logo bridegroom's cake was created by Brenda Johnson.
The bride graduated from Lisbon High School and has an associate degree in dental assisting.
The bridegroom, a Leetonia High School graduate, is a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, stationed at Camp LeJeune, N.C.
The couple resides in Jacksonville and is planning a honeymoon to Hawaii after the bridegroom returns from his deployment.
