Mr. and Mrs. John Sanor of Slater Road in Salem were honored on the occasion of their 40th wedding anniversary at a celebration on July 26 at the Winona Friends Church.
The former Joann Simon and Mr. Sanor were married on Aug. 3, 1968, at the United Church of Christ in Unity. The Rev. Bowman officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Mr. and Mrs. Sanor retired from milking cows in 2007. They currently grain farm.
The festivities were sponsored by the couple's children Jill (Brad) Amos of Salem, and Jody (Cormac) Irwin of Big Prairie. The Sanors have five granddaughters, Megan, Rachel, Anna, Laura, and Sarah.
