Sebring nabs win in straight sets

Sebring vs Youngstown Christian

SEBRING - Sebring dropped Youngstown Christian Monday in straight sets, 25-12, 25-18, 25-7.

Leading the Lady Trojans to victory was Jillian Faudree with six kills and six points. Assisting her in the win was Taylor Nannah with five kills and Danielle Seidel with 12 points. Sebring also won the junior varsity contest by a final of 25-20, 25-11 with Haley Twaddle scoring 13 points.

Sebring (7-5, 2-3 ITCL) will take on Leetonia at home today.

Columbiana vs. Struthers

COLUMBIANA - The Lady Clippers defeated Struthers Monday afternoon, 25-15, 25-19. Heidi Moff led Columbiana with 11 kills while Gina Snavely added 34 assists. Struthers was led by Martina Jurek with five kills.

In the junior varsity tilt, Columbiana took the victory, 25-20, 25-17. The Lady Clippers were led by Amber Bonsall with six kills. Columbiana (8-2, 4-2 ITCL) will take on Springfield today. Struthers (3-7, 1-3 AAC) will next play Newton Falls.

South Range vs Poland

NORTH LIMA - South Range fell to Poland in volleyball action Monday night, 25-17, 25-21, and 25-18.

Patty Shuster and Toni Geffert led the Lady Raiders in aces with 10, followed by Kelsey Keller with seven kills.

South Range will host United at home today.

Tennis

Salem 4, Lakeview 1

CORTLAND - Salem defeated Lakeview by a final of 4-1 Monday night in Tennis action. Salem (8-4) will take on East Liverpool at home today.

Junior Varsity Football

COLUMBIANA - Crestview defeated Columbiana 26-12 Saturday in junior varsity football action. Adam Coppack scored first on a six yard run, followed up by a 37 yard strike to Kody Simson. Coppack punched a score in from four yards out and running back Dakota Norris capped off the game with a 17-yard run into the endzone. The Clippers Matt Huk caught a 25-yard pass from quarterback Austin Barbato, followed up with a touchdown from Nick MacMillan from 25 yards out.
