Julia Lesko became the bride of Dr. Harjyot Sohal on April 12 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem. Father Thomas Eisweirth officiated at the couple's double-ring ceremony at 1:30 p.m.
The bride is the daughter of Albert and Brenda Lesko of Salem. The bridegroom's parents are Harjit and Jagmani Sohal of Houston, Texas.
Ashley Lesko, the bride's sister-in-law, was the matron of honor. Attendants included Dr. Gurjyot Doshi, the bridegroom's sister; Amanda Wilkinson, the bride's cousin; and Jill Rand.
Serving as the best man was Dr. Pratik Doshi, the bridegroom's brother-in-law. Groomsmen included Matthew Lesko and Brock Lesko, the bride's brothers; and Dr. Jeremy Johnson.
The reception was held at The Links of Firestone Farms in Columbiana where the bride and bridegroom received congratulations from guests which included friends and relatives from Texas, India, New Jersey, Michigan and Maui, Hawaii.
The bride graduated in 1994 from Salem High School and received a bachelor's degree in nursing from Duquesne University and a master's of science degree in nursing from the University of Akron. She is currently employed as a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
The bridegroom, a 1992 graduate of Klein Forest High School in Houston, Texas, graduated medical school in 2000, completed his residence in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth Hospital. He is employed as a pulmonary/critical care physician at the University of Missouri in Columbia.
Following a two-week honeymoon in the French Polynesian islands of Bora Bora and Moorea, the couple resides in Columbia.
