Joe and Jean Rodgers of Homeworth will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary at an open house reception from 3 to 5 p.m. June 15 at the Homeworth Fire Station.
The former Jean McCausland and Mr. Rodgers were married on June 27, 1948, in Alliance, in a double-wedding ceremony celebrated with the bride’s sister, Thelma.
The couple attends Westville Community Bible Church. They enjoy traveling, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
Mr. Rodgers is a retired self-employed contractor. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, he is a member of the G.D. Worth American Legion Post #574.
Mrs. Rodgers was a secretary and has been a homemaker. They belong to the Carnation Sams RV Club and Mile Branch Grange.
They couple’s sons and daughters-in-law are Randy and Molly Rodgers and Todd and Rhonda Rodgers, all of Homeworth. They also have five grandchildren, Nathan, Brendan, Ali, Rachel and Tori Rodgers.
