Ralph Emmett Prine

LEETONIA—Ralph Emmett Prine, 60, of 330 Ridge St., died at 7 a.m. Friday at the Hospice House in Poland.

Born Sept. 26, 1947, he was the son of Emmett and Mary (McFadden) Prine.

Mr. Prine was employed at Sheet & Tube (Briar Hill Works), Republic Steel, and retired from General Motors, Lordstown fabrication plant. He served in the U.S. Navy for 12 years during the Vietnam War and in the Seabees Reserves.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Pennie (Nichols) Prine; three daughters, Heidi (Mike) Weaver of Negley, Gretchen (Steve) Knight of Leetonia, and Kristin (Karl) Toy of Salem; eight grandchildren; a sister, Colleen (Alonzo) Potts of New Springfield; three brothers, Greg (Kim) Prine of Mountainview, Mo., Emmett (Sandra) Prine Jr. of East Palestine, and Brian Prine and his partner Bryan Addleman of Oakland Park, Fla.; his father and mother-in-law, Bruce and Rosalie Nichols of Mesa, Ariz..

A celebration of his life will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home in Leetonia.

Friends may call from 5 7 p.m. Monday.
