o The Salem Historical Society Museum will be open from 1 to 4 p.m. All mothers will be admitted free of charge.



o Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon at the Slovak Club, 313 S. Ellsworth Ave., Salem. The menu offers regular or fresh blueberry pancakes, sausage links, orange juice and coffee. Cost is $4. Carryouts are available for $4.25.



o The Hanover Township Volunteer Fire Department and Ladies Auxiliary is sponsoring a Mother’s Day dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Guilford Lake Ruritan Club on Route 172, Guilford Lake. The menu includes spaghetti, salad bar, rolls, beverage and dessert. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 6. All proceeds will benefit the volunteer fire department.



o The Hanover Township Historical Society will host its first museum open house of the summer from 1 to 4 p.m.

o The Columbiana County Health Department and the Lisbon Veterinary Clinic is sponsoring a rabies prevention clinic from 1 to 3 p.m. at the health department, 7360 Route 45, Lisbon. Cost is $5 per dose for pets that are 3 months of age and older. All dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be confined or in a cage.



o A breakfast buffet will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Saxon Club, 1980 Route 9, Salem. The menu offers biscuits, sausage gravy, homefries, sausage, bacon, eggs, pancakes, fruit, Belgian waffles with several types of toppings and omelets. Cost is $5 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 5 to 10 and free for under 5.



o The first annual American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Columbiana/Crestview Survivor Breakfast will be held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. upper parlor area at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 29 Spruce St., Leetonia. Those attending are asked to park in the rear parking lot and walk up the ramp into the church. The menu offers scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage, bacon, coffee, tea, milk and orange juice. o A spaghetti dinner and Chinese auction is being planned to benefit Mason Bennett, son of Steve and Kathy Bennett. Mason is a sixth-grade student at Crestview Middle School who has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Astrocytoma Cancer . The event will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Crestview Middle School cafeteria in Columbiana. o The 26th annual Youth Day will be held, free of charge, at the Salem Hunting Club on Indiana Avenue off U.S. Route 62, Salem. Children ages 8 to 15 are invited. Sign-ups for prizes and events begin at 11 a.m. Activities include archery, trap, 22 rifle and muzzloader competitions. Door prizes and trophies will be awarded. Food and T-shirts will be available.
