EAST ROCHESTER — Lillian May Wade, 79, of 29865 Speidel Road, East Rochester, died at 6:40 p.m. Saturday at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born Nov. 20, 1928, in Ecorse, Mich., the daughter of the late Orie and Genevieve (Rushlow) Wilmoth. Lillian retired in 1983 from the General Motors Company where she worked as a sewing machine operator for 23 years. She attended the Cooley High School in Detroit, Mich., and was a member of the TOPS Club for six years.
Her husband of 55 years, John F. Wade Sr., preceded her in death on July 28, 2003. They were married on April 3, 1948.
Survivors include a daughter, Margaret Shultz, of East Rochester; two sons, Timothy A. Wade, of Delton, Mich., and Ronald J. Wade, of Wolverine Lake, Mich.; a sister, Judith Liozbarski; three brothers, Donald, Charles and Frank Wilmoth; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A son, John Wade Jr., and a sister, Dorothy Wade, also preceded her in death.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Stark Memorial with the Rev. Joanne Dota, Chaplain of the Hospice House, officiating. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at Stark Memorial.
