Salem woman pleads guilty to drug count

LISBON ä A Salem woman was sentenced to prison for seven months after pleading guilty to possession of drugs for having an item containing cocaine residue in her purse.
Anna Allen, 35, of 565 Franklin St., entered the plea to the fifth-degree felony in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court on Monday, requesting immediate sentencing.
Judge C. Ashley Pike gave her credit for 36 days already served in the county jail and suspended her driverás license for 12 months.
Court documents said Allen possessed cocaine residue on a metallic tube with Chore Boy in her purse at a residence on Laurel Avenue in East Liverpool on March 11, 2006.
Also in Common Pleas Court:
ó Robert Means, 58, of 46195 Y & O Road, East Liverpool, was placed under community control for four years, with the first six months ordered served at the Eastern Ohio Correction Center for possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. His driverás license was suspended for six months. Documents said Means possessed oxycodone in his pocket on May 15 in a parking lot beside Danás Bar on East Sixth Street in East Liverpool.
