This district really should forget about trying to pass any new levies or taxes for a few years. They are just irritating the taxpayers, who are TAPPED OUT. Give it a break.

Incredibly, I agree 100% with ladybug. Unbelievable.

It isn't just a feeling, it's a fact. They knew how the concessions would affect the forecast. They may have not had the exact numbers, as the article doesn't state when the updated report was started or finished, but used the old data anyway.

This smells like a week-old open can of tuna.

READ. The "SAVINGS" was done from the TEACHERS doing without a salary raise over 4 years and agreeing to another 2 years without any salary raise. Telzrow credited the teacher and classified staff unions for their concessions in their recent contracts, as well as the frugalness of the district's administrations, for helping address the financial constraints under which the district is operating, but noted that challenges still exist.I do agree that this LOOKS as IF there is $$$$$ in the schools but there is NOT

I live in the WB district. I feel lied to or deceived over the past levy request. If they cannot publish true numbers to present to the voters, then I'll not vote for a levy.
