A Police Chief that thinks he needs letters to correct this with the owners? The owners? Seriously? Ok, why in the hello don't you just pick up the friggin phone and have DHS come in and do a dang investigation? All those arrest reports and reports are enough to have that dump shut down and those girls REMOVED from their care. This is not rocket science.

This police chief is an idiot. Avoid interaction with them. That's what safari tour guides say in Africa before they take you to see wild lions and cheetahs... If these people are breaking the law arrest them.

So what he's saying essentially is if i'm braking the law and this sheriff gets a phone call about me he can say "Sorry we don't want to make it worse we'll just leave them alone" That reminds of when a 3 year old hides from you by closing there eyes.. If i can't see you you can't see me!!

Ha! I made a funny ;-)

Side tracking here: So I looked at the Morning Journal. They must keep news articles up for awhile as I saw this:

Copiers cause fount of trouble

May 12, 2014 By TOM GIAMBRONI - Staff Writer Morning Journal News

"New scanner machines purchased in October by the Columbiana County Recorder's Office are creating unreadable digital copies in many instances, something Recorder Theresa Bosel says she is working to correct.

Bosel said her staff discovered in late February the digital conversion of some documents scanned during the previous quarter were coming back illegible."

(Not sure why it took from Oct to nearly March to notice, but....)

Was this not deemed newsworthy by the Salem News? Or do I have to look further somehow to see more articles?

(Chief) McDaniel also warned residents to avoid interaction with the residents of the home. He said to call police immediately if approached by a resident

Are those really necessary or helpful instructions for local residents?

It sounds more like what you're to do if there are rabid ra***** around.

If the police have been there 16 times in the last 6 weeks, surely the specifics (assaults, etc) would be in the police reports, right?

I'm not saying this guy isn't telling the truth, but I am somewhat skeptical that it's completely factual. How would a neighbor have any hard proof of the facts stated (increases in assaults, runaways, etc.)? That just sounds like completely made-up speculation to make the complaint sound better.

As I said, they may be correct, but I think they made crap up to support their theory.

So the residents have to suffer because the state runs this place? Ridiculous that they are trapped by the violence and criminal activity. We certainly do not want to aggravate the situation by sending police to do a walk-through, why should there be some consequences. Why isn't this place being shut-down if they cannot control these people? Oh I forgot write a letter to the facility so they can throw it in the trash and not do anything about it. Why is the people running this house not being questioned why these people are creating chaos?
