But I bet they know now to tell the state they have some left by 90 days before the expiration date!

A question here: $30 for the shot--that's no cheaper than other places, is it? Maybe more than some? Another question--do you need an appointment if you get it at Marcs or Walgreens? (I obviously haven't gotten one.)

Here they go with the fear tactics! IF I was to CHOOSE to get the vaccine which is slim and none, it is not going to be with THIS health department. They have already diminished the level of trust with me. By the way, thank you Councilwoman Dickey for your point of view on this matter. About time somebody starts making it about the people and not those "personal agendas".

"Besides getting the vaccine to lessen the chances for flu"

That sums it up. My wife gets the shot every year like a ritual and I don't. She gets colds and the flu every year. I can't even remember the last time I had a cold or the flu. Go figure. I starting to agree with EATTHERICH. It is another, money pit.

I haven't had the shot in 15 years, and like ZeroT, I always stay healthy while my wife gets sick. But this year, I got the flu and a girl in my office died of H1N1 Swine flu. So that freaked out the whole office and they would have killed us hold outs if we refused. So I went and got one.

Yes, they said the swine flu was covered within the shot. I suppose if there becomes a varying strain of the swine, one could still get sick, but supposedly the best way to avoid the swine is to get the shot. Our whole office went to the funeral. She was 52 I think. You likely heard on the news about all the deaths in Texas. Pam was one of them.
