Better to be represented from Florida half the time then from some one who doesn't even live in the township.

Just an FYI bowers - if you live in Salem you also live in the township. Just like if you live in the township you also live in the county and the state. Salem never seceded from the township ... but it can.

I guess Jerry Wolford's "record" as a public servant didn't serve him very well.

I don't live in Salem I live in the township. And don't you tell me that the people who live in Salem knows what's best for a township resident. I have no say in your politics your issues or your candidates. There for you should have no say in mine!

bowers - that is like saying you shouldn't vote for Ohio issues because you live in the township, not Ohio.

Your right Bowers.

When city council makes decisions involving both. The city ends up on the plus side.

Wow ward .. Lol that didn't even make sense. Ohio issues effect Ohioans right. You can vote on those the last I checked. No matter where in Ohio you lived. Salem issues effect Salem residents. How does perry issues effect Salem residents unless Salem residents can vote unfavorably towards something in hope that the outcome benefits Salem. Your very right ladybug.

Bowers, don't ever cross into city limits then. Ever. Don't use our roads, don't shop here, don't buy your groceries or your gas here, don't eat at any of the restaurants. Please and thank you.

I'm not sure what you don't understand about Salem being part of Perry Township. Salem residents ARE Perry Township residents.

GrantMingus: Wolford has a proven track record based upon his past experiences more than any other candidate let alone in the City of Salem as an elected public official. The election shows that voters still vote pretty much based upon political parties vs. voting for experience and proven results. I hope the residents enjoy another 4 years of Rudibaugh spending half the year in FL! What a joke!!!

What are you showing me grant? Does that mean Lisbon votes on center issues? Columbiana votes on Fairfield and beaver in both counties. That would be a hoot. Hey that maybe. Maybe you can look that up for me. Actually doesn't Salem now abut to green township now. Do they vote on their issues ? Maybe more Salem people should have showed up and voted. Then your residents could have won our seats.

Well Salem Rutz.

I for one am totally satisfied with the services I receive from the township Adm.

We have a good police, fire and service dept.

We have been and still are in the black. So as long as the job is getting done then i'm satisfied.

I wouldn't vote for Wolford if he had been the only one on the ballot

So perry is the un incorporated portion of Salem. Formed from different sections of bordering townships and four sections of Salem. I've educated my self. But it's still not fair... I guess I should have said something earlier about this like back in 1830... Lol

There are only two villages or city in Columbiana County that do not vote on township trustee's, they are E Liverpool voters do not vote on Liverpool township trustee's, nor does Wellsville vote on Yellow Creek township trustee's. We in Salem set in the middle of Perry Township and are allowed to vote for trustee. About 4 more annexations and there will be no township it will all belong to the city. Then you will be governed by city council and the mayor and then bowers you can vote on our candidates. You still have a Salem resident as Fiscal Officer do you have a problem with that??
