We grocery shop locally and at discount stores like Aldi's. Also we coupon as much as possible and look for sales at local stores. With gas as high as it it, it's just not economical to drive out of our area for sales

This ABAWD thing astounds me. I think if after a few months of collecting benefits, an ABAWD should have to show progress in job training to become employable or get a final benefit one-way bus ticket that goes somewhere other than here. Letting the benefits go on and on is just enabling the problem.

But both of you (and me) have incentive to look for sales, bargain shop, use up leftovers. Where is the incentive with the dollars they are given?

On the other hand, I will admit I do have a freezer so that does help me. Plus I can go to a couple grocery stores. i suppose some others may be limited in where they shop.

$632 to $668 a month in foods ramps? Does that include products other than food? My family of 5 spends, at top, $500 a month.

I suppose this is going to cause "poor" people to starve in the streets. The family of four that I am part of does not spend that much on food each month and that includes eating out. No one here is starving by any means.
