Thank you Sheriff Stone!

Hopefully this will streamline the system to allow individuals to only have to make one or two trips at most to complete the application process. Currently, three visits are required.

Also, more convenient hours so that many people won't have to miss time from work.

The current hours are very restrictive. Mon, Tues, Weds and Friday from 8 to noon to drop off applications at the old court house.

I wonder if they are gearing up for the rumor that the renewal date on these licenses will be mandated by the State to every three years?

Just sayin!

Just got my CCW in this last July, good for 5 years. In the required training we were told that just this last March it was changed from a 4 year renewal.

I work in Warren, had to be late to work 3 weeks in a row to get the permit. In Trumbull County it's done in one stop.

Grant, nope, that was why I posted it as a question to see if any others had any information on it. My personal view on it. I think it would be ridiculous but typical of Government. They are always looking for ways to make money.

I stated my case wrong, I was late to work 1 day a week for three straight weeks. Day 1 I believe it's 8-noon window to turn in the application and pay the fee at the county court house. No less than 1 week later you return to get the finger printing done. It's 7:30 - 8:00 AM at the Sheriff's office. That's it, just one half hour! Week three, same deal and you get your picture taken and permit issued. To be fair, that half hour window of opportunity is available 4 days a week, for a total of two hours. Just seems to me to be a lot of hoops to jump through in order to exercise a right that the government should have very little say in,as long as your a law abiding citizen. I hope that Jake is correct and we are given full access the government services are taxes are supporting. Okay, I understand, they have a budget, how about reasonable access.
