Why do these people think they have the right to override State laws? Now the City has opened up the door to be included in the liability. DUMB!

Sorry Dog. The Ohio Revised Code does not cover parking laws on a city street. The City of Salem has city ordinances for that.

Really? Want to put money on that? Local laws provide for "home rule," which means that a municipality may enact ordinances that have only local application, so long as it does not preempt a state law. The ordinance cannot contradict a state law.

If the City of Salem wants to enact parking on city streets they can but they are not exempt from ENSURING SAFE PASSAGE. I don't think using illegally parked vehicles as speed control methods falls into the category do you?
