2-mill Salem schools renewal won’t raise taxes

SALEM — A 2-mill permanent improvement levy on the May 7 ballot won’t cost Salem school district taxpayers any additional money since it’s a renewal, school board vice president Steve Bailey said....

Interesting that teachers had to give up their partial retirement pick up but administrators have all of their retirement pick up paid.

administrators should have the same package as teachers.and why do we need someone teaching nutrition classes?couldn't tha be done in home ec or health? i don't believe the district has done enough as far as cutting costs.
