Here is an idea ladybug...seeing that you constantly run your mouth about NOTHING, and make it a habit of smarting off and asking everybody else their ideas...just where in the*****in yours? YOU HAVE NOTHING FENCE RIDER TO OFFER...NEVER.

Oh and ladybug, just because you appear to be sloooooooooow! How many times do I have to say...Cahill had some good ideas before you smart off? How many times do I have to say..."OVERKILL WISHLIST" before that sinks into your thick scull? How many times do I have to say...Salem has a community with income levels on the median average of $30,000 (LOW INCOME TAX BASE) before that clicks in your head?

And how many times do I have to say the word...REALISTIC before that clears your brain?

Last not not least...IDEAS are one thing, ACCOMPLISHMENTS is another and that is what does not happen in Salem! FACT FACT FACT! Clear enough ladybug???

Ladybug states: "Where's your ideas W.A. ?"

Scroll down and read them and in your case, read them two or three times so you don't make this blunder again!

Your right about that assumption. Their way or no way.

But the fact is Salem is dying a little by little. And the only ones going to suffer will be the residents in the area.

Only whining i do about Salem is to people like you who offere nothing but critism to anyone or anything trying to make a difference there.

It's easy to set back and call Cahill or anyone every name in the book. And complain about evry idea they have .Where's your ideas W.A. ?

Salem is dying because its city leaders choose to let it. I moved here in 2001 looking for a nice small town atmosphere. Wow was I ever wrong. Found out if you are not from the select few, born here, or one of their few chosen they don't want you. And if you don't fit their mold you have no real say. And is anyone aware that people call Salem, Mean Mayberry. Fitting isn't it? I have lived in many different cities, large and small and have never lived where people were so disrespected by their city council, their police department, and especially their zoning office. If you belong to "the club" you can do as you wish in this town. Cahill wants us to come to meetings. Been there, did that only to be told I was expecting too much when I told them they needed to enforce zoning laws to clean up the neighborhoods. City council told me Salem residents couldn't afford to clean up their homes, yet now they can afford to clean up the downtown businesses???

Committees, for this, committees for that, this group, that group, this organization, that organization, good God, all these private agendas, by now, you would think Salem would be the only city in the country THRIVING ECONOMICALLY! Appears THAT is only thing growing in Salem!

Cahill, you really believe you are somebody special don't you? Guess what genius? REAL people, real taxpayers and real residents with REAL NAMES READ these Salem news comments just because you don't happen to see there names on here.

All they see if you AVOIDING THE REAL QUESTIONS regardless of who is posting them!

A lot of people have lives and they don't have time to be chasing down all these "wish list" ideas just to pacify your wants and desires at the expense of the taxpayers (that isn't even legal). If the residents of this city ever had to chase around people like you an attend meetings and committees just to get a dang question answered, they would be doing it 24/7. Now why don't YOU grow up!

Give one's name to a bunch of vulgars.

My God they have done everything but remove this man's genitiles,

Why anyone would waste their time on anything in that town is beyond me.

Concerned, If you don't count council members and Mr. Cahill, I think 2 building owners are on board with TAC. I don't think there are "maybe"s either, I think the rest are opposed.

Cahill go Convince council to put your tax increase request on the ballot and we will see who the majority are by their vote on that tax. Let's see last time a tax was on the ballot it lost by about 69% of the vote and those that voted to put it on the ballot were booted out of office. And that was a tax that would have benefited everyone, not one limited to just downtown. The majority of people in Salem have a hard time feeding and clothing their family and you think they should pay more taxes. Unbelievable!!!

My name is Schwer. I am a Federal appointee in an area that covers a wide path including Salem. Cahill, your obvious losing strategy on throwing money at decades of bad policy by both parties will fail as none of you are smarter than those than come to the meetings. That is why you ask for committees, to deflect your failures. How's that? Hey Bug, what's your last name?

This is not the proper venue for these discussions - unless you are simply talking to yourself. We have meetings every Thursday at 6:00 If you actually have an issue, come and sit like a man or a lady and discuss it, you may find that we want your input - even if you disagree with us. Most of this is misunderstanding and innuendo. If you want truth, show your face and discuss your concerns. We will be happy to listen. See you there.
