Well, there's another liberal that thinks I should go on the dole instead of work for my money... sorry to disappoint you, but it ain't happening.

Maybe that's why $1,000, 000,000,000 went to means-tested (read:welfare) LEECHES last year.... Let's see, what's our deficit this year?

"the uncertainty of what is next with this attack on our second with the thoughts of how will they be able to secure their own homes and lives against criminals if this continues. "

It is nothing compared to what is going to happen when other countries refuse to continue to finance our overspending. If that happens and entitlements cannot continue to be paid, the Leeches will be the ones coming out of the woodwork, trying to steal what is 'theirs'.

Sheriff Stone has more power than the President, in his own county. I have faith he will join with the hundreds of other American Sheriffs in not allowing Fedzilla to violate our rights.

Stone swore an oath to the Constitution, not the President.

Obama's spur of the moment, toss out those executive orders are going to drop a big burden on our Police departments. Gun registration is about to take on a whole new meaning. This is going to be a mess.

Gun sales are at their highest, the highest they have ever been in this country. Ammo is almost impossible to find in every big city. Gun manufactures and Ammo manufactures are working double time to meet the demands. There are now more guns in the hands of Americans now than there was before Obama opened his mouth on this. Criminals are already starting their black markets. This is not even funny anymore. This is real.

the uncertainty of what is next with this attack on our second with the thoughts of how will they be able to secure their own homes and lives against criminals if this continues.

There is going to be somebody that is going to make the mistake and all hello will break loose and Obama will love it. There are going to be people who will not lay down their arms and this stunt Obama is pulling is only going to create more criminals. People are not going to cooperate with the thought of tyrannical government looming. The mistrust is growing higher and higher. It is going to get ugly. They have groups forming now (underground) that are preparing. Tensions are way to high.

I for one, am glad to see this happening. The whispers among law enforcement are real. They are not just getting prepared for the normal crime and drug war we are plagued with in this country, they are preparing for worse case scenarios. I'm hoping Salem PD follows suit.

We can continue to live in denial but times are changing and with this dangerous game the Democrats, Obama and those like Senator Dianne Feinstein are playing with this attack on the second amendment, things are only going to get worse and add to existing problems.

There is already a great deal of mistrust for our Government. Emotions and tension are really high right now across this country. There is a sleeping giant awakening and unfortunately, this dangerous game they are playing is eventually going to bring out the nut jobs from the cracks in the floor boards those that believe the Government is now the enemy and the revolt will begin. We also have lots of people that are fearing

Alright boys, lighten up on the Salem News, we make enough mistakes in our comments that would have our English teachers chewing their nails off. The world will not come to end because of it!

"Police Chief Donald Hyatt told trustees at their Tuesday meeting that his department has purchased several new Sig Sauer .223 caliber semi automatic patrol rifles. The rifle is similar in configuration and appearance to the well known AR-15."

Hmmm.... they didn't call it an 'assault' rifle like they did on the poll...

"When asked how he thinks the new rifle can benefit his department Hyatt explained that criminals everywhere seem to be more well armed than ever and his department is just "keeping pace." "You just never know what you're going to run into these days and you have to be able to respond appropriately," said Hyatt."

One of the many reasons civilians should also continue to be allowed to own these weapons. No disrespect to the police, but my life is just as important as theirs.
